wellbeing everyday

Your wellbeing is about a lot more than simply being in good health; it’s about feeling good and functioning at your very best. So while a balanced diet and exercise are great for your body, it’s important to give your mind and spirit the same attention too.

Your wellbeing influences how you think and feel about yourself as well as others. It also affects how you deal with day-to-day life. Happiness is key to your wellbeing, and when you’re happy, you enjoy a natural energy and zest for life. So, especially in today’s hectic world, it’s really important to make some quality time for yourself. That’s why here at Lipton, we want to help you make wellbeing a part of your everyday routine – even when you’re busy.  Let’s start with a few tips for looking after number one.

Give yourself some digital downtime.

Yes, you could respond to that Facebook message, text someone back or reply to that comment on Instagram, but it’s important to take time out from the digital world too.  So put down your phone or tablet or whatever, and take some time to truly switch off from everything.

Do something you love every day.

Whether it's enjoying a cup of tea when you wake up, doing your morning yoga session or indulging in your favorite hobby after work, make sure you always have something to look forward to, each and every day.

Try something new

Don't get stuck in a rut – change is what helps us to grow. So take up a new pastime, try new things, and even do the things you do every day a little differently. Try a new recipe. Introduce new flavors into your diet. Take an alternative route to work.  You get the picture.

Do something nice for someone. It could be volunteering for a charity, stopping to say ‘hello’ to elderly neighbor even when you’re late, or sending flowers to cheer up a friend. Big or small, acts of kindness really do make you feel good. And others too.

Think positively. When negative or stressful thoughts pop up during the day, try to reframe them in a positive way. Things look a lot brighter if you follow simple detox tips like this and is just one way you can try to stress less, among others.

Consider others. If you've had a hard day, it can be easy to offload on your nearest and dearest. But simply asking someone how their day was before you talk about your own can make a huge difference.

Become a minimalist. These days, we're almost programmed to think we need the latest smartphone or trainers. But ask yourself this: will it really enhance your life?

Even a little exercise helps. If you sit a desk all day, try to incorporate more movement into your everyday routine. If you can’t find time for a daily exercise schedule, start by skipping the elevator.

You are what you eat. And drink. Everything you eat and drink matters. Focus on variety, quantity and nutrition. Try and choose food and beverages with less saturated fat, sodium and added sugars. It can be tricky at first, but starting with small changes paves the way towards a healthier eating style and feeling better on the inside.

Stay hydrated. Our bodies are made up of nearly 60% water and you need to keep it that way. So try and drink 2 to 2.5 liters of liquid a day.

And on the subject of hydration, we’re here to help. The main ingredient in brewed tea is water, which your body needs to run at its best. In fact, brewed tea is 99.5% water making it just as hydrating and refreshing as water.

And because we’re all so busy and modern life is so demanding, we’d love to help you introduce easy wellbeing into your everyday life. We have a wide selection of teas designed to do just that, ranging from Green tea and Matcha to Turmeric and Herbal Supplements.

Another great place to start is the Lipton Wellness Range, crafted for those moments in life when you need a little bit of extra self-care.
